It is a versatile plant, a woody shrub that grows up to about two meters in height, covered with small hairs that give it a gray reflection. It is native to India and can also be found in Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, North Africa, and some areas of the Mediterranean. Also known as Indian ginseng.
